For Reggae My Life Is, the memoir of legendary Jamaican tour manager and cultural figure Copeland Forbes, I designed the complete visual identity of the book — from the illustrated cover to the full editorial layout. The visual direction embraces a bold reggae-inspired aesthetic, using a dynamic red palette, custom vector illustrations, and graphic line elements that I created specifically for this project.
The cover features a stylized portrait illustration of Copeland Forbes supported by bespoke background graphics referencing Jamaican music culture, touring, and historical moments. Inside the book, the editorial design balances clean typography with impactful chapter openers, color-driven quote spreads, archival photographs, and original graphic elements that enrich the narrative flow.
The result is a vibrant, contemporary memoir design that captures the movement, energy, and cultural influence of reggae while honoring one of its most iconic behind-the-scenes figures.
