For My Reggae Music Journey, the memoir of reggae pioneer Patricia “Miss Pat” Chin, I designed the complete visual identity and coffee-table book layout, bringing six decades of Jamaican music history to life through a vibrant editorial experience.
The book features a rich blend of archival photography, rare family images, artist portraits, and original illustrations by Michael Thompson and myself, unified through a cohesive visual language that honors both the cultural legacy and personal story of Miss Pat.
The design balances narrative flow with bold visuals, integrating color, typography, and expressive layouts that reflect the evolution of Randy’s Record Mart, VP Records, and the global reggae movement. The result is a contemporary, highly crafted publication that celebrates Miss Pat’s iconic journey and her profound influence on the reggae industry.
